HPC is the implementing body of the "Program for Human Resource Development in Asia for Peacebuilding," an initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan to enhance the peacebuilding capacity in Asia. The symposium will be held as part of the Program to discuss the issue of development and deployment of civilian peacebuilders from the perspectives of national governments, international organizations, and local communities.
