HPC's Continuing Services for the Program of the Previous Year - JFY2010
Hiroshima Peacebuilders Center (HPC) provides continuing services to participants in the Primary Course Program Associates (PAs) under the Program for Human Resource Development in Asia for Peacebuilding FY2010 in respect to the relevant Overseas Attachment after the Coursework. The scope of our services includes the followings.
I. Communication/mentoring services with and among PAs on duty sites, including the following:
1.Secure emergency contacts at home and/or abroad of Program Associates(PAs).
2.Secure effective contact after PA's arrival at their duty stations(places of assignment).
3.Keep in contact with PAs.
4.Monitor current situations/conditions of PAs.
5.Provide PAs with useful information, including for issues on security.
6.Conduct mentoring services/advice in close collaboration with UNV for PAs.
7.Provide the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with summary report on the progress of dispatch for Overseas Attachment of PAs.
II. Services in support of locating jobs and maintaining the HPC database of human resources, such as:
1.Provide useful information on vacant posts in relevant UN and international organizations.
2.Provide counseling for PAs.
3.Establish network with prospective employers, for example various international organizations.
4.Operate and manage the database of human resources (HPC Roster System - an internet-based exclusive communication system).
III. A list of duty stations for the Overseas Attachment for Primary Course PAs in JFY2010 includes:
・UNDP:Kosovo, Cambodia, Haiti, and Uzbekistan
・UNHCR:Kenya, Kosovo, and South Sudan
・UNICEF:Sri Lanka, and Timor-Leste
・WFP:Nepal
・IOM:South Sudan
・WHO:Indonesia
