Since Fiscal Year 2007, this Program has been conducted to develop human resources of civilian peacebuilders by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan.
The MOFA commissions the Hiroshima Peacebuilders Center (HPC) to implement the Program in collaboration with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme.
Specifically, the Program of Fiscal Year 2011 comprises the Primary Course for those who pursue career development in the peacebuilding field and the Seminar on Basic Peacebuilding for people who wish to be involved in the peacebuilding filed in the near future. In addition, the HPC organizes various events such as a symposium to make an intellectual contribution to the field of peacebuilding in reference to the Program.
